This statistic displays the results of a youth survey conducted among 15-34 year olds across 19 states across India in 2016 about their attitude towards higher education being more important for boys than girls. About 19 percent of respondents thought that higher education for boys was more important than girls, while a majority of respondents, about 35 percent disagreed during the survey period.
