Annual number of passengers carried by Transavia 2014-2023

The total number of passengers that traveled with Transavia increased steadily in the period between 2014 and 2019. In 2014, approximately 9.9 million people flew with Transavia, whereas by 2019, this amounted to over 16.5 million passengers. However, in 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the number of passengers decreased by more than 68 percent to just over 5.1 million. In the following year, the passenger traffic in Transavia increased again and reached roughly 18.4 million passengers, eventually reaching 21.5 million in 2023.
Transavia is a Dutch low-cost airline and a subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and therefore part of Air France-KLM Group.

Number of passengers transported by KLM

The mother company of Transavia saw an annual increase in passenger flow as well. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines carried roughly 27 million passengers in 2014, whereas in 2019 this increased to over 35 million passengers that flew with the airline. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the passenger traffic of the airlines dropped significantly to 11,231 passengers in 2020. However, in the subsequent years, the number of passengers carried by the company rebounded and reached 25,838 passengers in 2022.
