Italy: drinking patterns among the adult population 2016
This statistic illustrates the drinking habits of the Italian adult population in 2016. According to the survey results, the vast majority of Italians consumed alcohol: six in ten enjoyed drinking in moderation, while over 13 percent of respondents stated that they drank alcoholic beverages for pleasure. By contrast, about one in four respondents (26 percent) completely abstained from consuming alcohol.
