Hilton was the most valuable hotel brand in 2023, with a global brand value of nearly 12 billion U.S. dollars. Other major hotel brands in the ranking included Hyatt, Hampton Inn, and Holiday Inn. The brand value of these companies amounted to 6.07, 4.26, and 3.75 billion U.S. dollars, respectively.

This brand valuation method includes various steps such as calculating brand strength and estimating forecast revenues to give companies a better understanding of their position in the market. Hilton's success is partly due to having an array of valuable brands that are owned, managed, or franchised by Hilton Worldwide Holdings.

Marriott International generated more sales revenue than any other hotel group worldwide in 2023. That same year, the company accounted for over 1.5 million guestrooms globally. Meanwhile, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts was the leading hotel company in terms of property numbers in 2023. As of June of that year, Wyndham had over nine thousand properties worldwide. This was roughly 2,000 more than the number of properties owned by Hilton.
