Italy: types of domestic holidays by type of municipality in 2015
This statistic illustrates the two main types of domestic holidays taken by the Italian population aged 6 and older in 2015, broken down by type of municipality. According to the study results, people from municipalities with less than 50,000 inhabitants contributed to the majority of cultural and nature holidays within Italy (65 and 43 percent, respectively), whereas more people from metropolitan and suburban areas went on holiday abroad.
