This statistic illustrates the two main types of domestic holidays made by the Italian population aged 6 and older in 2015, broken down by macro-region. According to the study results, the majority of nature holidays within Italy were made by people from the North West (35 percent). By contrast, the popularity of domestic cultural holidays was more equally distributed among Italians from all origins.
