Throughout 2023, publishers in Brazil produced approximately 319 million book copies, of which around 181 million (or 57 percent) were textbooks. Religious books and adult literature followed with about 54 million and 18 million units. The number of religious book titles published in Brazil increased by four percent in 2023.
