This statistic shows the results of a Statista survey in which U.S. e-commerce shoppers were asked if they prefer to purchase consumer electronics (e.g., cell phones, televisions, consoles) used or new in the United States as of June 2017, sorted by age group. During the survey period, 82 percent of respondents aged 60 years and older stated that they prefer to purchase new consumer electronics.
