In the period from January to July 2020, the Terminal de São Sebastião ranked first in the list of leading ports for import cargo handling in Brazil, with a total throughput of roughly 23.6 million metric tons. Terminal de Angra dos Reis and Porto de Santos, which ranked second and third in the same list, reported a combined import throughput of just under 36.3 million metric tons that same year.
