This statistic describes the results of a survey among hotels on the distribution of guests across hotels in India in the 2017 financial year, based on purpose and hotel type. During the measured time period, about 71.4 percent of the people staying at chain hotels were business guests, while around 28.6 percent were guests traveling for leisure.
