Leading transport and logistic companies in Belgium by turnover 2020

Kuehne + Nagel, a German company headquartered in Switzerland, had a revenue of approximately 136.6 million euros in Belgium. UPS saw the revenue amount to roughly 163.1 million euros, whereas DSV had a revenue of 108.6 million euros. Looking at the leading transport and logistic companies, Deutsche Post (DHL), a German company, had the highest revenue with over 364.4 million euros in 2020. Katoen Natie saw the revenue amount to roughly 347.8 million euros, whereas Sea Invest generated a revenue of 163.3 million euros.

Registered heavy commercial vehicles

Mercedez-Benz - besides passenger cars, builds trucks as well - saw the total number of registered heavy commercial vehicles totaling 713, the second most registered commercial vehicle in Belgium in 2020. MAN had a total registration volume of 835 heavy commercial vehicles in that year.

Tunnel toll fees in the Netherlands and Belgium

In both the Netherlands and Belgium, there are three tunnels in total where a toll fee is requested: Westerscheldetunnel (Netherlands), Kiltunnel (Netherlands) and Liefkenshoek-Tunnel (Belgium). Westerscheldetunnel is, because of its central location, an important connection between Zeeland, Flanders and West-Brabant. Therefore, this tunnel is regularly used by trucks. Vehicles with more than 3.5 tons had to pay 7.45 euros in 2018.
