This statistic displays the share of German car owners* in February 2017 who would more readily attribute certain characteristics towards SUVs or other passenger cars. SUVs were more likely to be considered safer than other cars by those interviewed, with 68 percent saying they believed SUVs were safer than other cars. On the other side, respondents were even more likely to consider standard cars more environmentally green and economically efficient than SUVs.
