This statistic displays the share of people with experience of abortion in Belgium in 2015, by gender. 24 percent of the respondents to this survey answered that they themselves or someone close to them had undergone an abortion. 20 percent of the male victims indicated that someone close to them had undergone an abortion in the past. The percentage of women who had undergone an abortion, or knew someone close to them who had undergone one, was even higher.
