This statistic illustrates the findings of a survey on the reason for using online dating sites or apps in the United Kingdom (UK) in June 2017. During the survey period it was found, that 76 percent of responding current users of online dating sites or apps stated, that they were looking for a romantic relationship. Furthermore, during a survey conducted in the United States it was reported, that 43 percent of polled American users of dating sites or apps stated, that they used such online services in order to find friendly contact.
