The graph shows the share of females in behind-the-scenes roles (director, screenwriter, executive producer, photography director and art director) in Brazilian television productions in 2016, by TV format. In 2016, 14 percent of all directors in Brazilian non-serial TV productions were women.

In this study, the source analyzed behind-the-scenes roles in Brazilian audiovisual productions that had been given the Brazilian Product Certificate (CPB) in 2016, on the basis of ANCINE's database reports (extracted on February 1, 2017). According to the database, a total of 3,347 CPBs were issued in 2016.
Figures do not include mixed roles occupied by both women and men.
