Japan had the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank capacity in 2023, at 18.7 million cubic meters. This was followed by neighboring China and South Korea, with a tank capacity at around 18.3 and 13 million cubic meters, respectively. All three countries also had the largest LNG regasification capacity.
