Average employment per hotel and motel without restaurant in Italy 2020, by month

The average number of employees per hotel and motel without a restaurant in Italy decreased significantly in April 2020 over the previous month due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In April and May, while the country adopted a national lockdown to curb the rise in COVID-19 infections, hotels and motels without a restaurant recorded on average less than employees per company. While this figure increased during the summer, it went down again in October and November, as the country adopted new emergency restrictions due to the health crisis.
