In 2021, the demand for air conditioning devices in all of Europe amounted to approximately 8.9 million units. Russia lead the European demand with more than 1.9 million units, followed by Italy at around 1.5 million. Countries with lower average temperatures, such as the Scandinavian nations and Ireland, as well as countries with relatively low population numbers naturally displayed a lower demand for air conditioners than highly populated countries and those with a more Mediterranean climate.
