As of the 52 week period ending December 30, 2017, there were around 290 million units of skincare products sold in Great Britain, equivalent to 948.9 million British pounds. The statistic shows that the most popular skincare product by unit sales is facial beauty skincare with a total of 164.3 million units sold. The next most popular skincare product is body skincare with a total of 41.6 million units.

Major exclusions: wider impulse sectors; sales in Northern Ireland; sales through health food stores, mail order, internet-only vendors (eg Amazon), discount stores (eg, Aldi,Lidl, Poundland).

Data is aggregated census EPOS for multiple retailers with sampled EPOS for independents and symbols. Retail sales value is what is actually paid by the consumer including VAT and net of any promotion. Medicine sales are Over-the-counter only and do not include semi-ethical sales or dispensed prescription sales of either P or GSL licensed products.
