Speeding-related traffic fatalities in the U.S. 2006-2020

In 2020, approximately 11,300 traffic fatalities could be attributed to speeding, which is a 19 percent increase from 2019, while 2019 experienced only a one percent increase in speeding-related fatalities from 2018. Overall, it can be noticed that the decade 2010-2020 has experienced a lower number of speeding-related traffic fatalities than the 2000s.
