This survey displays the market share of organic food sales within total supermarket sales and within fresh food sales in supermarkets in Belgium in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, 1.7 percent of all food sold in Belgian supermarkets was organic food. In 2016, this increased to 1.8 percent. The market share of organic food in fresh food sales in supermarkets saw a similar increase between 20. In 2015, two percent of the fresh food sold was organic food. The next year, this market share increased to 2.1 percent.
