Beer is, by far, the leading alcoholic beverage of Panama in terms of production volume. In 2018, the Central American country produced over 289 million liters of beer. During that same period, Panama produced around 5.5 million liters of rum and 4.8 million liters of the liquor Seco Herrerano. By 2025, it was estimated that per capita consumption of alcohol in Panama would attain a volume of 6,63 liters of pure alcohol.
