In 2023, the number of dispensed asthma/COPD medicines in the Netherlands amounted to around 6.48 million, one of the lower numbers in the given period. In general, there was a constant decrease in dispensed medicines for the treatment of asthma or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
