Moreover, in the central part of the country, there were approximately 6.6 thousand individuals working for major and large banks.

The two groups are identified as follows:
- major bank: average intermediate funds over 60 billion euros;
- large bank: average intermediate funds between 26 and 60 billion euros.
North-West: Piedmont, Aosta Valley, Liguria and Lombardy.
North-East: Trentino South-Tyrol, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Emilia-Romagna.
Center: Tuscany, Marche, Umbria and Lazio. South: Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Apulia, Basilicata and Calabria. Islands: Sicily and Sardinia.
