The offshore natural gas production in India is estimated to reach over 13 billion metric standard cubic meter per day in fiscal year 2021, down from about 24 billion metric standard cubic meter per day during fiscal year 2015. Oil production in the country primarily came from the onshore states of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Assam primarily. The states accounted for a share of over 96 percent in the total onshore production.
