Volume of food wasted in Norway 2010-2015, by industry
This statistic shows the volume of food wasted in Norway from 2010 to 2015, by industry. During this period, the amount of food wasted by the wholesale sector increased from roughly 2.6 thousand metric tons in 2010 to roughly 3.2 thousand metric tons in 2015. In 2015, Norwegian households threw away food with a total volume of approximately 218 thousand metric tons. Within the retail sector, food waste slightly reduced from roughly 66 thousand metric tons in 2010 to roughly 60 thousand metric tons in 2015.
