According to this survey, the majority of respondents (30 percent) would have made a long journey abroad. Similar shares of respondents would have spent that sum on renovating their houses (29 percent) or on paying off loans and mortgages (28 percent), while only 3 percent of Italians would have spent it on cosmetic surgery.
