Sales of distilled agave-based beverages in Mexico attained a value of more than 25 billion Mexican pesos in 2022, an increase of nine percent in comparison to the previous year. These beverages include traditional drinks such as tequila and mezcal, which have gained worldwide popularity throughout the last years.
