Number of hedge fund managers and institutional investors in hedge funds EU & UK 2017
This statistic presents the number of overall hedge fund managers and institutional investors in hedge funds in the European Union (total number, including the UK), as well as in the United Kingdom, as of January 2017*. There were approximately 953 hedge fund managers in the EU, out of whom 593 were headquartered in the United Kingdom. Similarly, out of the total of 758 hedge fund investors in the EU, 409 were headquartered in the UK.
