This statistic shows the average rate of cases of self-reported stress related to the workplace per 100 thousand employed in Great Britain (GB) between 2014/15 and 2016/17, broken down by country. Mental health problems including stress, depression and anxiety, which were caused or worsened by work had the highest prevalence rate in Wales, effecting 1.8 percent of employees. The averaged self-reported stress rate was slightly lower in England, with 1.49 thousand of 100 thousand employees affected.

Results are based on the Labour Force Survey (LFS) run quarterly by the Office of National Statistics. Questions concerning work-related illnesses and workplace injury are commissioned annually by the HSE.
