In 2021, the life insurance segment in the Netherlands has the highest technical result when compared with other insurance segments. The insurance industry in the Netherlands has many different companies and branches. The Dutch health insurance system alone already combines elements of public and private insurance. In 2022, Dutch health insurance concern Achmea had a market share of almost 30 percent.
