The Conservative Party had gained the greatest number of votes, with roughly 13.67 million people voting for the party under leadership of Theresa May. By comparison, Jeremy Corbyn's party had acquired a similarly large number of votes, with 12.88 million people having voted for the Labour Party, Third largest party by voter turnout were the Liberal Democrats with 2.37 million votes.
