Most frequently used women's shampoo brands in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2017
In 2017, English-speaking women in the UK were asked which shampoo brands they personally use. A share of 28 percent of respondents used Tresemmé, followed by Herbal Essences with 27 percent. In contrast, brands like Weleda, Biolage by matrix, Morrisons, and Aveeno Active Naturals were each used by only one percent of respondents.
Actual user numbers
After a similar 2017 survey of 24,845 of women 15 years of age or older, it is estimated that Tresemmé has 6.1 million female users in the UK. The user base of Pantene Pro V, Head & Shoulders, and L’Oréal was estimated to be over four million. Four more brands were estimated to have more than three million users. The rankings of both surveys somewhat differ.
