In 2022, nearly 20,000 people worked in the film industry in Mexico, up more than 2,000 employees from the 17,728 employees counted in the previous year. This represents an almost 12 percent increase. Meanwhile, the overall remuneration of wage earners in the Mexican film industry increased by roughly five percent in 2021.
