This statistic shows the share of consumers in each engagement segment who compared energy tariff offers from their own or other suppliers in Great Britain (GB) in 2016. It shows that of those consumers who were considered to be highly engaged in the energy market, 78 percent compared tariffs with other suppliers and 87 percent compared tariffs offers by their existing suppliers. Consumers who were considered less engaged in the energy market were significantly less likely to compare tariffs at all. Only one percent of consumers in the least engaged segment compared tariffs offered by other suppliers.
