This statistic shows the results of a survey on the reasons that motivated respondents in the United Kingdom (UK) not to pay for a music subscription service in 2016. Almost half of respondents stated that a paid subscription model did not appeal to them, while a quarter of respondents reported that they preferred not to pay for music and to use free sources such as YouTube instead; 31 percent found paid music subscriptions to be too expensive.
