Patented drugs made up some 52 percent of all drug costs in select Canadian public drug plans in fiscal year 2021/2022, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, and the Non-Insured Health Benefits Program.
