According to a survey conducted in 2022, around four percent of 11 to 14 year old girls were not enrolled in any school in the rural districts of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in that year. However, the rural regions of Kerala recorded 100 percent school enrolment of 11 to 14 year old girls in that year.
