Leading catering companies in the Netherlands 2018, by turnover

As of 2018, caterer Sodexo generated a turnover of approximately 327 million euros, resulting in a number one ranking in the leading caterer companies in the Netherlands (based on turnover). Ranked second was Albron, another Dutch independent caterer, saw its revenue amount to roughly 260 million euros, whereas Eurest had a revenue of 254 million euros and was ranked third. Looking at the revenue of the catering industry in the Netherlands, it decreased annually in the period between 2008 and 2014, before increasing again from 2015 onwards. As of 2018, the revenue totaled just over 3.3 billion euros.

Revenue Vermaat Groep and Albron

Vermaat Groep, originally a family company but since 2015 acquired by Partners Group from Switzerland, saw their revenue increase year-by-year. In 2014, the revenue amounted to 110 million euros and by 2017, Vermaat Groep generated roughly 255 million euros. A similar result was seen with the revenue of Albron. In 2018, the revenue reached 112.5 million euros, an increase of roughly 14.5 million euros compared to 2014.

Revenue of company catering

Company catering services had a slight increase of revenue again from 2016 onwards. As of 2018, the revenue of company caterers amounted to over 1.6 billion euros. The highest revenue was reached in 2008, when the industry’s revenue was roughly 1.83 billion euros.
