Number of e-books in academic libraries in South Korea 2012-2023

In 2023, the number of e-books that libraries of higher education institutions in South Korea owned amounted to around 43.46 million. This is the highest number in the survey period. While this number had been steadily growing prior to 2020, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic led to a large increase of over 48 percent between 2020 and 2021.
