In 2022, Brazilian universities had more than 3.1 million newly enrolled students in distance learning programs. That is considerable more than the 2.5 million recorded a year earlier. Even before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning education in Brazil was growing at a remarkable pace. Furthermore, the overall number of undergraduate students enrolled in distance education programs in universities in Brazil has increased recently.
