This statistic shows the result of a survey on importance of digital media services in Finland in 2016. YouTube was the most important digital media service for the younger generation of the surveyed individuals. The preference for people aged 46 years and above shifted to Yle Areena, the online broadcast service of the country's public broadcasting company. The music streaming service Spotify was important for over 50 percent of individuals aged 16 to 35 whereas the corresponding number for individuals aged 56 to 65 was 11 percent. Digital medias such as Elisa Viihde and DNA TV were more important for the older age groups. Looking at all the surveyed individuals as a whole, the most important digital media in Finland in 2016 was YouTube.
