Equity release plans are designed to allow homeowners to access some of the value of their property without the need to sell their house and move out. It can be seen that the average age remain overall on the same level during this period. It was approximately 71 years of age as of the second half of 2019 for new drawdown plan customers and 68 for new lump sum plan customers.
