Volume of coffee imports to Finland 2022, by country

In 2022, the volume of coffee imported to Finland totaled close to 20,693 metric tons. The most important coffee import partners for Finland included the Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany. The volume of coffee imported from Sweden to Finland amounted to roughly 5,471 metric tons.

Coffee is popular among all ages

  Finland has a high per capita coffee consumption, with an average person drinking roughly nine kilograms of roasted coffee per year.
The Global Consumer Survey by Statista shows that coffee is consumed among all the age-groups with 21 to 25 percent. But only approximately nine percent of the of the 18- to 24-year-olds consume coffee.

The import volume of roasted coffee is growing

  While the import volume of green coffee fluctuated within the range of 51,000 to 75,000 metric tons, the import volume of roasted coffee grew over the past years.
Roasted coffee imports saw a steady increase in volume, from roughly 7,000metric tons in 2014 to over 19,000 metric tons by 2022. In 2022, the import volume of roasted coffee into Finland amounted to almost 19,500 metric tons.
