Reasons for domestic tourists spending more time on holiday in the UK 2017
This statistic presents the main reasons given by British holidaymakers for spending more time on holiday in the United Kingdom than in previous years as of 2017. Of respondents, 34 percent said it was due to a personal choice to spend more time in the UK. However when looking at the age of the survey participants, only 15 percent of 18 to 24 year olds chose the same response. Cost was also a relevant factor, with 32 percent of respondents spending more time in the UK due to domestic holidays becoming more affordable.
