This statistic shows the rate of hospitalizations due to traumatic brain injuries (TBI) in the U.S. in 2016 and 2017, by injury cause, per 100,000 population. During 2017, the rate of hospitalization due to traumatic brain injuries caused by unintentional falls was 29.4 per 100,000 population. Unintentional falls were the leading cause of TBI-related hospitalizations in both years.
