During the survey period, a majority of drivers, about 40 percent said they would never call if there was bad weather, while about 16 percent would never call if they knew the area was under camera based traffic surveillance.

According to the source, within each city, four categories of drivers were surveyed: two-wheeler drivers, four-wheeler drivers, truck/bus drivers and auto-rickshaw drivers. Cities surveyed: Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Kanpur, Mumbai and Kolkata.
