This statistic shows the results of a survey on organic food consumption in Finland in 2017, by region. The largest share of respondents regularly consuming organic food were from the Greater Helsinki region of Finland. Irregular consumption, on the other hand, was the highest in western Finland. In Southern Finland 30 percent considered the possibility to consume organic food whereas 14 percent of respondents from Northern and Eastern Finland did not intend to consume any.
Overall, the consumption of organic food has become more regular in Finland over the recent years. According to the survey, the main reasons for buying organic food included cleanliness, quality and healthiness.
