Profits per employee in selected global tax havens for leading EU banks 2015

This statistic illustrates profits generated per employee for the leading twenty European Union (EU) banks in selected tax havens worldwide as of 2015. A tax haven is understood to be a country, which offers minimal tax liability business conditions to foreign individuals, and at the same time provides a relatively stable financial and political environment. Residence within the tax haven country is not a requirement and therefore, they become controversial places with regards to offshore taxes. Countries such as Andorra, the Bahamas, Hong Kong or Lichtenstein belong to that definition. According to data presented, reported profits per employee in tax havens are on average nearly four times higher than the global average profits per employee of banks. It can be seen that profits per employee for the twenty leading EU banks in the Cayman Islands reached a value of almost 6.3 million euro as of 2015. At the same time, the global average reached 45 thousand euros, while bank's home country average was ev en lower, at 29 thousand euros.
