Beer can fillings in Sweden 2011-2015

This statistic shows the beer can fillings in Sweden from 2011 to 2015. The amount of cans filled with beer has slightly grown over this five year period. In 2015, approximately 936 million cans of beer were filled.
The most popular material for beer packaging in Sweden is cans. Approximately 80 percent of the beer sold in Sweden was filled in cans. All cans in Sweden include a deposit which can be refunded at special return machines which can be found in most supermarkets. But at supermarkets itself, only beer and alcohol up to 3.5 percent volume of alcohol can be bought at Swedish supermarkets. All other alcoholic beverages are only available at the government-owned alcohol retailing monopoly called Systembolaget.
